P.S. 84Q. The Steinway School Grading Policy
2022-2023
Grades provide families with important feedback about student’s academic progress. You and your student should have a clear understanding of the learning goals for each subject. Students’ grades reflect how well they understand the subject matter, concepts, content, and skills. The grading policy for P.S. 84, Q will be based on a combination of tests, quizzes, homework, projects, classwork, and class participation.

Report cards are based on a 1-4 scale. Report cards will be distributed three times per year except for our early childhood grades. Students in those grades will receive two grades in each subject each term.
