Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome back to another exciting school year at P.S. 84!! I hope this letter finds you well and had a wonderful summer break. As we gear up for the 2024-2025 school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to all our returning families and a special greeting to those who are joining us for the first time. We are thrilled to have you as part of our school community. It was wonderful getting to know some of you in June when I bagan as Principal and I look forward to continuing to getting to know you all this school year.
Over the summer, our team has been hard at work preparing for the new school year. Some exciting news includes P.S. 84Q was given an additional 3K class. We will also have some in-house residencies to look forward to for further enrichment. More details to come!
As we embark on this new year, our focus remains on fostering a safe, supportive, and rigorous learning environment where every student can thrive. We are committed to working closely with you to ensure that your child’s educational journey is both enriching and enjoyable. Communication and collaboration between home and school are key to your child’s success, and we encourage you to stay connected through our various channels, including Dojo, email, school website, newsletters, social media platforms, etc.
Here are a few important reminders as we begin the school year:
- **First Day of School:** Thursday, September 5, 2024
- **Back-to-School Night:** Monday, September 16, 4:00pm-7:00pm4, IN PERSON – A great opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and learn more about the upcoming year.
- **School Hours:** 8:15am - 2:35pm
Please feel free to reach out to your child’s Teacher, Secretary, or Parent Coordinator if you have any questions or need assistance as we start the school year. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way.
